Attention Tightwads

Not sure if anyone out there is as cheap as me, but I'm always on the lookout for a good deal.
I thought I'd throw this out there - Bowhunting magazines are all over ebay - mega cheap.
I just picked up a year subscription to Petersen's Bowhunting for $4.50. Item # 190106727542 I think there are like 80 more subscriptions available at that price - just type that item number into the search field.
I've bought a ton of magazine scripts on there this year, and there's no catch. They're really that cheap. Got Maxim for $5 for 3 years. Details Magazine for $3 for 2 years. Wife gets all kinds of fitness magazines and Cosmo. I figured I'd feel it out first before I passed it along. I read somewhere that magazines do so well with just advertising, that it behooves them to peddle as many scripts (even at a bargain basement discount) - just to bolster their circulation numbers and pass the cost along to advertisers. Not sure if that's true or not, all I know is that it's a whole heck of a lot cheaper than buying these things at the news-stand.
Generally, the smaller circulation mags aren't quite as cheap.
Here's a link toa 3 year subscription to Field and Stream for $8. http://cgi.ebay.com/Field-Stream-Magazine-3-Year-Subscription-36-Iss_W0QQitemZ270141953281QQihZ017QQcategoryZ82149Q QrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem

Free shipping on most of them. You just gotta check and see what it says for shipping. Some of the sellers try to hit you with a few extra dollars, but most don't.
The two links I posted were freebie shipping.

I bought a subscription to Bowhunting World from Ebay, I got Maxxim and Stuff for free! (Oh, and some family mag too...) Well, Bowhunting World and the Family thing doesn't come anymore, but Maxxim and Stuff keep on coming. I think they were 3 year subscriptions for free just to increase circulation.

I've got a lot of friends and guys I used to work with who got all those maxim & stuff & mags like that real cheap. From what I hear the advertisers feel the more people who read them the more they will sell the stuff inside them, that's why they practically give them away. Don't know if that's true.
