New Job!

Went to my favorite local archery shop tonight to just shoot the bull with the owner for a while. We talked about the world of archery, likes, dislikes, that sorta thing. Then I a guy came in and was getting some arrows cut and fletched and he said he was about to start working at another archery shop. After that I said that I was in need of a job that i could carry thru school. About another 30mins of talking and he offered me a job on the spot. Since I am currently working somewhere else I explained to him that I would have to take car eof that first and he said no problem. He's gonna have me working as an archery tech and teaching me the stuff I dont know as far as tuning. I'm pretty excited but then again when I get my paycheck I'm not sure how much I'll have left [8D]. The bows they carry are Hoyt, Reflex, PSE, Browning, and AR. They also take trade-ins and they just put in a 3-d range. Needless to say I'm very excited.

CONGRATULATIONS! That is very exciting news. Try not to spend your first paycheck before you leave the shop!

yeah I honestly couldnt pick a job I'd rather have right now. I didn't even ask what he was going to pay or anything like that. I could honestly care less. I figured it would DEFINATELY be more than the measly $6 an hour im getting now [:'(]. And the new job is air conditioned :).

That’s great. You should enjoy it. Hopefully you’ll get to take you’re check home, and if not you’ll have some cool stuff.

Yeah. I honestly haven't EVER shot a hoyt, I've handled the right handed ones but never even so much as drawed one because of that silly riser design. Some things on the list to get as soon as I pay for the 337 Friday with my last paycheck.

1. Gold Tip XT Hunters
2. QAD Ultra Rest
3. Scott Sabertooth Release
4. Morrell Bag and Broadhead target
5. Rage and Muzzy mx-3 broadheads
6. Double Hardshell bowcase

So yeah, they are basically going to be garnishing my first 2 months wages :D

When I worked at the pro shop, I got my check every 2 weeks cashed it and then handed it back to the owner. I never made a dime, but I did have some cool toys. It's a good thing I had a day job.

good thing about being 16. As long as I don't have any tickets or accidents my car and insurance is paid for. My only expense is gas. So I'll be getting quiet a few new toys.
