My wife and I are wanting to go archery bear hunting in Ontario, Canada this fall (2003) and would like information from anyone who has used a reputable outfitter/guide in Ontario. We had a hunt booked with Robson2 Outfitters Company, LTD, but they have since abscond with our deposit and now have the Canadian Mounties hot on their tails.

We would like to drive there from the Northern Virginia area rather than fly, so someplace less than 24 hours drive time from Washington, DC would be great.

We have read several forums and there are a lot of horror stories about various otfitters and guides, so any information will be great.

Has anyone use Woods Bow Hunting Outfitters? I have heard really good things about them.

There are a number of Outfitters for fall Bear fellows.
The locol Mag has 3-4 places www.quinteoutfitters.com ,, [email protected] ,, www.greenacresresort.net are 3 that are a few hours from the Buffalo Boarder.
