Famous People Who Bowhunt...

Craig Morgan, country singer and in Primetime Bucks 10. I know some baseball players that do: Jim Thome, Mike Matheny, John Mabry andJose Oquendo. I'm sure there are a lot more.

I believe Rambo used a Hoyt. I even heard that some big shot from Hoyt instructed Sylester Stallone on how to properly handle a bow. I also heard that this instructor had a small part in the film. Don't know which charactor but I think it was one of the prisoners that were rescued.
That was a long time ago, so forgive me if I'm not accurate on some of this info.
After the movie was out, I heard that Hoyt made a new model bow called the Rambo.

Karl Malone- Pro Basketball- Errol Flynn (late actor) That guy from the "Don't squeeze the Charmin" commercials. I read an article years ago about Art Garfunkel from Simon and Garfunkel being an excellent shot, I think he was hunting mule deer or something. Geena Davis tried to qualify for the Olympics in archery but she said she'd never shoot at a living thing.

Shaq is a big time bowhunter.
Joe Montana shoots. Don't know if he hunts though.
Dennis Byrd from the Jets that was injured playing football hunts and came into my dads archery shop quite often.
Yes it was a Hoyt used in the Rambo movies.
One of my dad's friends taught Sly how to shoot.
I don't think he was in the film though.
But I may be wrong.

Will Clark, the retired baseball player from the Giants and Cardinals has been in a few Drury Videos. These sports guys and celebs are the only ones who will be able to afford to hunt if the prices keep going the way they are.

Merril Hoge! He played eight seasons at Running Back for the NFL's Pittsburgh Steelers and Chicago Bears. He is currently a football analyst for ESPN.
Since he's somewhat of a local celebrity in Pittsburgh he often is on on the morning for a quick report for a local station. This fall he was calling in FROM HIS TREESTAND! Did anyone hear that? It was awesome because i was driving to work, and he was discussing football but he was half-wispering then he was like "OK guys, gotta go!"
