On the wayto work this morning a small 12" cattle horned buck emerged from an embankment on opposite side of the Hwy, and you know it, he was headed into my lane hell bent for leather [:@]couldnt get enough brake in time and no where to go. KATHUD, very solid hit throwing him tumbling end over end 40' into the opposing lane. He layed ther for a minute thrashing then to my surprise got up and took off running!! There is no dought in my mind he will not make it [
] But the good news is, and i still cant believe it, no damage to my trusty silverado, what the???
Stay safe out there people, the deer are after us now!

Kinda gives you that sick feeling in the pit of your stomach, doesn't it? I feel bad even if I hit a groundhog or raccoon.
At least there weren't anyinjuries or damage.

Dangit, hate to hear that. The cow deal reminds me one night my wife and I were in a hurry to get to her parents house. We topped a hill and there stood a big black bull. Talk about your butthole puckering up.

LOL My cousin hit a really small doe with his S10 and he thought it didnt do any damage. A couple monthes later the bumper fell off and alot of other things were smashed up inside. So it might be an "optical illusion" that your truck is ok, or it could be your Silverado is just a beast!
We hit coons and groundhogs on purpose around here. It kills them quick and gets them outta the way. We have a crapload of both, my uncle caught 25 coons in the same trap last summer! And the woodchucks (whistle pigs to me) eat alot of the crops.
