Default Info needed on Bowtech Extreme Solo

Howdy All.....

I've run into a sweet deal on this bow and have absolutely no info on it at all. A "buddy" of mine won it in some raffle and has NEVER used it. It has nothing on it except a peep. Here's a few quick questions that came to mind...

1: What's the value of this bow? I think it's last years model. But BRAND NEW!!!
2: Is it a quiet shooter?
3: Is it tough to tune?
4: I was going to order a new Matthews, but for the price I could get this one for it may be a tough decision. How do they compare?
5: It has the 60-70 limbs on it. I don't think my shoulder can't take that sort of weight anymore. Can they be replaced with a set in the 50-60 range?

Like I said, I know nothing about this bow or Bowtech for that matter. Except what I've seen on their web site. Anything and everything you could offer to enlighten me would be very much appreciated...

Thanks....Dan

Dan, the bow sells for $550. They are quiet bows. They have the sand trap limb pockets and Winners Choice strings. ATA is 35&quot;. Check the brace height. There are two options, 6&quot; & 7&quot;. 7&quot; IBO speed is around 315. There is a paper with the bow giving actual speed that bow shot. I don't see why it would a problem to get tuned. I've had no trouble with any of mine. BowTechs are much better than Mmmaaattt<img src=icon_smile_big.gif border=0 align=middle> Honestly, I don't know enough about the others to make an informed comment. It's a nice, lightweight (3.5#) hunting bow. I think suitable also for some 3D & target shooting. I've shot 3D with my Mighty Mite (31.5&quot; ATA), and had decent scores with it. You could get new limbs. They retail around $100. You might be able to get a break on the price. They also come with a lifetime warranty. BowTech is a good company. I've had no warranty issues, but have called to talk. They spend the time with you to answer questions fully. I think you'll be well pleased should you get this bow. Good luck with it.

Phil.

Hey Dan, if you don't buy it I will! I've been looking for one, but can't make myself spend the $550 when all the new models are coming out in a couple of weeks. This is what I would put on it though

Muzzy Zero effect
Impact cosmic sight
Alpine soft-loc quiver
stealth 6&quot;stabilizer
