dinked around as a kid at 12 and 13... didnt know a thing..pretty much self taught after dad died in H.S. Got serious about bowhunting whitetails right out of college. 25 years going on 26 I guess.. still have a lot to learn.

This year makes number 12.

For big game, 27 years.

Funny thing - I was just talking about this last night. This will make season #15 for me, and I still have no idea what I'm doing. But I sure have a good time doing it!

I was cutting down the neighboors trees and building bows from sticks and arrows from anything I could find when I was about 10. Then I got a fiberglass bow and then a 25# compound and then a 45# and have neen hunting with them since then. I did stop for a few years while in college and the first year I moved out here since I didn't have anyone to hunt with. So that would be about 17 years.

Well I first picked up a long bow in theearly 70's (1973 I think)but I really didn't start hunting with a bow till later. Unless you count squirrles, rabbits and other little creatures that I hunted when I was a kid.....don't think I ever killed one though.

I really started to hunt with a bow in college (Mid 80's) so it's been a little over 20 years ago for me. I still have a lot to learn....for sure.
