Who uses windicators?

Just curious what everyone uses to keep tabs on the wind while on stand.
I use a piece of thread tied on the end of my stabilizer. I have used the powder in the squirt bottle. what is everyone using?? Just to get a new topic (UP IN THE AIR[8D])

I use those little fiberglass puffs out of the dip-can thingy... It workds great. I can't imagine not knowing where my scent is going. In the open woods or field edge, you can watch the puff for a hundred yards. I will take note of the wind stream and then make a decision about the shot based on the direction of the deer and when they will cross that line. It helps my confidence at the very least.

Seriously answered.
yes i have, if i have a good option stand. not always, but yes sometimes! Shifting is gonna happen, but when a front is headed in, weird things happen like tottaly different wind directions. like i said (sometimes) but most of the time no.

Serious question here......
Once you're on stand....what difference does it make. Are you gonna get down and leave if it shifts?

Reason I ask......
If the wind's blowing hard enough to affect my shot.....I can pretty much tell which direction it's coming from
. If I've done everything I can to play the wind to my advantage......and it somehow shifts while Im on stand.
Sorry....I'm not leaving.....and I honestly don't know anyone else who would. Some of you guys might.......but I work 5 days a week.....and cherish my hunting time, immensely. I like to play it to my advantage.....but once I'm on stand.....I'm not going to leave because the wind shifted.
Kudos to you guys that are that hardcore.
