RE: Do you KNOW the law in YOUR state?
was taught in a seminar put on years ago by missouri bowhunter education that first mortal wound should get the animal. but i hunted busch wildlife area years ago when they allowed 300 hunters in at a time. there were many arguments about whose deer. my friend and i all shot with string trackers back then to eliminate all doubt.

RE: Do you KNOW the law in YOUR state?
Ohio.........The first one to put a tag on it. A third hunter who has not even shot the deer can walk up to it, put a tag on it, and that deer is legally his or hers.

RE: Do you KNOW the law in YOUR state?
Yes Zuba you would be correct, the one who actually kills the animal gets the animal. Thats how I have always known it to be.
ORIGINAL: zubba I'm almost positive WI is the hunter who puts the final kill shot on is entitled to the animal. Not sure about Iowa, this will be my first year bowhunting Iowa. |
