Default TDWW Forgive Me

Well, seeing as how there has been a lot of fun pokin around here lately about the size of Southern deer, I thought I might enlighten some folks. This is the 2006-2007 results of "1" of the big buck contests from down here. I would venture to say "holy smokes" on more than a few of these.

TDWW, I am sorry for letting them in our well kept secret.

Respect.

Thanks LT!

That is some impressive size for LA. I've always thought we had relatively big bodied deer compared to their racks (the opposite of dainty 12 point Texas deer). But maybe we can grow some nice bone as well. Got me fired up!!

I bet that most of the biggest La. deer were killed close to the Mississippi river flood plain (like Avoyelles and Concordia Parish).

Keep in mind here folks...that those measurements are for total square inches of DEER. Nah...we have some good deer in the south. Its all relative.

SwampCollie, since when did actual deer size come into the equation?LOL We all know the bone on the head is what makes the deer. No one would ever shoot a 6 yr old 280 pounder with fork horns. Just not ethical. LOL

Gotta love the South.
