Default Garmin TOPO maps for GPS unit

Need info on two different garmin products, the TOPO U.S. 2008 and the TOPO U.S. 24K. Anyone know which one would best suit my needs as a hunter in Maryland. They cost the same but the 24k has better scale but i'm not sure if all my hunting locations are on it. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Id go for US topo 2008. It will give you enough detail.

The 24k wont have much for MD.

BTW, where you hunt in MD?

I have the 2005 version topo, and I like it better than 2008. I have both, and the 05 shows more roads, and little better color on my legend Cx.

I live in MD, and use it in Western MD (Back bone Mountain), Eastern Shore (blackwater and fishing bay), Eastern Bay, Wye River, Patapsco State Park.

Only complaint and not sure if its just this version of topo or even my gps. But roads don't seem to be in the right location. In other words, I will be driving down say State route 97 and GPS shows me 200ft from the road.

At first I bought the legend noncolor, but the topo shows up horrible without color. Got to have the color.

Big country,

That is not your GPS. Roads have moved from construction in some cases or the data is just slightly off sometimes. That happens from time to time.
