Thanks So thats the kind of person you are. I see how it is. Sorry, but I try to give everyone the benefit of the doubt before I start posting unnecessary remarks. Its those like you who start issues. Before we start hammering on someone maybe we (you) should know what we(you) are talking about first. Maybe we both assumed, but the problem was you assumed the worst possiblity. I am not like that. Happy hunting! |
RE: same-day set up
I have had great same day set up success with tree stands. With the blind I have had great success with antelope and turkey on same day setup and terrible with whitetail.
I assume you are hunting a semi-urban area, so the deer will be used to people, human traffic. I would also guess it is a reletively small hunting area. The deer are going to notice/see the blind right off the bat. My experience has been that they won't go running and blowing through the woods but they will see it and avoid it. If they notice the blind they aren't going to get close enough to it for a bowshot. 50-60 yards seems to be as close as they get to mine when they have seen it. If you know where they are coming from try to get the blind brushed in around a corner so they don't notice it until they are close or already past the blind. If it is set where they can see it while approaching, even if brushed in, they will notice it and take a wide berth. |

RE: same-day set up
I don't understand how dragging in and setting up a blind is going to make you less visible to the people than sneaking in in just camo or hunting from a tree?
Also if you have permission and stuff, just tell the copsafter tehfirst timethey are going tocall the police every timeand the cops will ignore them. Do the cops follow you into thewoods? I doubt it. They wouldhave to be REALLY bored cops. |
