In regards to most recent post - it made me think

How many harvested, killed, crowned ,Etc etc[8D]there first animals with archery

I took my first squirrelwith a bow
I took my first rabbit with a Bow
I took my first hog with a bow
I took my first turkey with a bow - Hen , Fla - followed by a longbeard
I took my first deer with a bow - Doe Alabama
I took my first Buck with a bow - spike - Fla still hangs on my wall

My first bow kill was a sparrow with my first bow. Age 3 in 1955.

Still haven't gotten my first griz, moose, caribou... There are still a lot of firsts left to go on my 'want to' list... If I can live long enough.

I shot my first deer/buck with a bow. A 6 point last year.

My only first with the bow isa rabbit. All others were by gun. Unless we count carp, as my first carp "caught" was by bow.

My first deer is the doe in my avatar, killed 2 years ago.

I took my first nutria rat with a bow at about 16.

They are a nuisance down here (tear up levees and now you get paid to kill them in Louisiana).
They would all come to this one spot in a neighborhood pond at my buddy's house. We had
gotten in trouble for using a 22 in the neighborhood (with good reason), so we decided to shoot
them out of a second floor window with my bow. It was a blast, got about 6. They didn't know
what was going on due to the method utilized.

All other firsts were by gun.

I don't think I have any firsts with my bow. I didn't get into bowhunting until a few years ago.

Now I'm gonna have to go outside and take a dog or something. ....J/K

I've only ever taken 1 elk (bull) and 1 bear (black) and they were with a bow.

All my other animals fell to guns before bow and now I'm exclusively bow except for an occassional shotgun turkey. Although I've taken other turkeys prior I did take my first turkeys with my bow in KS this past spring.
