Thanks PT,

Always looking for something to do with the meat after the season.
Don't want to buy a dehydrator yet, but wanted to make some jerky.

Like with most things, I wont say anything if good and will take all the credit, but if it sucks, well . . .
you'll be hearing from me.
I have only made this recipe in a dehydrator ..... the key to great jerky is temperature control .... to hot, and you cook it .. not hot enough, it takes forever. If you have a smoker, lighten up on the liquid smoke a little .....

BTW .... I bought my dehydrator at a garage sale for around $10 ....

one more thing .... most ovens do not go below 170 degrees, making it tough to make jerky in ....

Jeff .... jerky is the FASTEST way to see your deer vanish! I usually do at least one whole deer in jerky .... most of it anyway. I can't ever bring myself to do the backstraps that way .... they're too yummy fried in bacon grease or butter ...

Sounds good and I will give that a try.

Just one question, is that dry mustard or mustard from a bottle?

Bottled mustard, WW ..... you could use dry if you'd like ..... I like using bottled since I can use a spicy one ... but that's me.
