It's not a stab. It's a legitimate question. Try as you may....you can't make me look any worse than I've already admitted to (In several other threads). I didn't know any better, last year. I had no idea the herd here was that out of whack. I only compiled the numbers LAST YEAR....my first full season of bow hunting.....and the first that saw me take a deer.

I was ignorant. I'm less ignorant, now. We'll check my buck/doe harvest ratio after this coming season and see how it comes out. I care what YOU think about it about as much as you can imagine, though.

This I do not understand. You keep making mention that I am trying to make you look bad and this is just not the case. Just because someone points something out that they may not agree with does not mean they are doing it in anattempt to make someone look foolish. I am saying this again and hopefully you will believe me this time, that is not my intention.

Wash is a young guy still cutting his bowhunting teeth, IMO the young man could do without the "responsibility" police breathing down his neck.

Wash is a "prostaffer" for an "outdoor production company" AND a "prostaffer" for a camouflage company. Washis employed bya national outfitter.

Yes. He's a young man cutting his teeth in Bowhunting. I'm an older man doing the same. We were discussing something....and I posed a question ON PURPOSE to make him stop and think. Whether he did or not.....I don't know.

How does this concern you?

I would take the team I was on last year, but would trade out one of the inactive posters for SWIowaHunter. We had a great year as a team, and if SWIowa gets more time this year, it would be an awesome team. RD was a great guy to have as our leader, would vote him in for captain again.

I found it comical that you don't care what others "4 states away" from you think about "YOUR" herd but you seem to care what is going on with Wash all the way across the country.

I would have pointed out your ignorance by assuming things about "me" and my situation. You act like I have "verbally" abused you or something saying "what would I do type words at you?" :D

Scott....again...I don't care, really, what Wash is doing (or any of you). Does that mean I can't ask questions, any more (of course it doesn't....just pointing out the obvious absurdity of the claim)?

And it doesn't bother me at ALL what people from other states think about myherd. I'll listen to anything anyone that wants to speak intelligently has to say. What you (or anyone else) thinks about the way I hunt.....means very little to me as I go about my business. I'mgetting to be pretty comfortable in my own skin. Doesn't mean Iwon't listen to your views, at all, though.

Wash noted that he wished he could take more deer in his area.....but also hinted that he wouldn't be targeting a doe.....all the while admitting the lack of herd balance in his area. I asked him what the responsible thing to do was. Legitimate question? I thought so. it was designed to make him think a little....but when it comes down to it....I don'tcare WHAT he (or anyone else)shoots. Doesn't affect me, one bit.

I pointed out my own PREVIOUS "ignorance". I'm less ignorant, now. TRUE ignorance would be doing the same things I did last year over and over again.....and expecting a different result (i.e. a more "in balance" herd). And I didn't "assume" anything about Wash's situation. I listened to what HE told me about it.....and posed a question. "Ignorance" would be assuming I knew his situation. I don't. I took HIS word for it.

Just to get back on the subject matter , I would like to see more members from my own state on my team this year , just for the reason that it would give me chance to hunt with them.
I would still like to have some of the orignal members that I have made friends with last year as well , but time will tell when they pick out of ramdom like they did last year.
