Best Drop-away?
Am looking at getting a drop-away rest.
Just wondering(?)which do some of you shoot with and/or recommend for hunting. I'm looking for a rest that is: |

...?...
I want a rest that is rugged, trouble free, and hpoefully cradles the arrow nicely. Any ideas much appreciated! |
RE: Best Drop-away?
Its simple, its lightweight, it works without complications on all bows, and its absolutley reliable and proven! Its the Trophy Taker. I am shooting the Trophy Taker Shakey hunter. Check it out.

RE: Best Drop-away?
Bullkllr, the only one I've had experience with is the NAP Quicktune. Both the 2000 and 4000. I prefer the 4000 for the micro adjustments. Easy to set up and reliable.

Gee this could get ugly
I would have to say the Muzzy Zero Effect. I put it on my Pat a couple of weeks ago and am kicking myself that I did not put it on sooner. ![]() Aussie by birth Texan by choice |
RE: Best Drop-away?
sssssssss...that's the sound of the fuse on this thread!
Oh well, might as well stir the pot... Beyond question and unequivocally the Muzzy Zero Effect is the best fall away rest on the planet! Really though there are a few to look at...Trophy taker makes a good one, Golden Key, NAP, Muzzy, some like the Trap door inertia style. Most have their own opinions and it comes down to personal preference to some degree. You may want to wait till end of Jan-early Feb though, the GKF boys have been hot and heavy over some new drops for 2003. They should be "unveiled" at the AMO show and shipped soon thereafter. Might be worthwhile to wait. Shoot as many as you can and decide what your priorities are.:) Trushot }}------> |
RE: Best Drop-away?
The montana black gold drop away is the only rest I would spend money on,that is designed to fall away.
There are no strings, levers, cables or chickens feathers with this one If you want to get the best you can , take this info and go straight to the web site. |
RE: Best Drop-away?
Muzzy ZE I have had it since last Feb and I love it no problems at all.

RE: Best Drop-away?
Can I mount all these rest at once.
|
RE: Best Drop-away?
The Muzzy is an excellent drop away rest. I think for the hunter it has many advantages over all the others. I also have a tophy taker rest I just mounted on a bow, so far it seems to tune well, but I still have not been able to get outside to do any long range shooting. It seems to drop everytime, and I am not getting any contact with 4" vanes. For a pure hunting rest I am going back to the more simple styles, but that is a personal choice. The zero effect would still be my first choice for the bowhunter.
