RE: Switching Bow Brands
right now I gotta say i'm a Hoyt man however I like the feel of the Bears and alsothe Reflex lineup which is same as what i have pretty much. The Hoyts I have got to shoot always seem to be smoother and just feel "right". Now should I have a limb breakage issue or something like that things can change in a big hurry

RE: Switching Bow Brands
Gary - I'd say bang for the buck. If you have true brand allegiance, you're selling yourself short.
The archery world is like a real-life game of "king of the mountain"- and every few years, somebody does something that pushes them to the head of the pack. Usually, the king doesn't stay king for long, but they keep retooling and coming back, time and time again. Bear, PSE, Hoyt, HCA, Darton, Mathews, Pro Line, Martin, Bowtech, Wing, Oneida, Pearson, etc...- they've all been king for a day (or close). Everybody innovates- everybody puts out a competitive product. What does it take to change - for me, it's dollars and sense. I want a bow that outperforms my old one in every phase of the game (speed, components, brace height, noise, warranty) -and I want it for a fair price. I couldn't care less if it was built on the moon by a tribe of Oompaloompas. |
RE: Switching Bow Brands
I like who I like, but I'm not that brand loyal that I wouldn't try others. I am not one forhaving the most popular stuff, so pretty much eliminates bowtechs, hoyt & matthews from me even shooting them. Otherwise all else is fair game.

RE: Switching Bow Brands
I have to laugh when this topic comes up. I posted not long ago about bows. They said mathews users have thier noses in the air but if you read these posts the ones taking shots aren't people using mathews bows. Like the one post hear said I will just keep using my switchback like I have for the last 5 years. I mean know harm to anyone but it is funny to read post here and some other sites about this topic. Mathews users do know they have one of the bset products out there we really don't have to explain that to anyone.

RE: Switching Bow Brands
Simply shot a Bowtech. They will be the household name as the cadillac in bows IMO very soon.
