If I catch a good rain.....I might try to hang a stand or two, this weekend.

Anybody hang them this early? I'll be placing these two in an area outside my prime spots.

We already cleared some walking and shooting lanes for climbers and put up a few hang-ons and added a couple fixed/ladder stands.

I don't see the need to wait. The season opens in a little over 3 months. Might as well give the deer more time to get used to them and the change in habitat. If we come up with a better spot, the stand and equipment is already out there.

I forgot I need to probably take my saw, too. I've got a few saplings that have to go.

I hung a few stands this spring about the same time I was looking for sheds. Also cut needed shooting lanes and some trimming.

Ive been hanging stands since turkey season eneded and im still not done...

I normally hang a bunch after deer season before turkey season and then go back no and check the lanes and everything...still got quite a few new ones going up!

I like the earlier the better.

On smaller pieces of property I’ve found that you can use the trees that you cut down to create funnels within funnels to help put those guys right where you want them…

And yes I’ve already started on my first stand on my new property!

Can’t wait!!!!!!

I am done by the end of April

Heck....why even take 'em down, then....for a couple/three of months????
