Well I stepped out of the early 1980's into the 21st century Friday, I got a new bow! Man what a difference! I was cutting bulls at 20 yards in 4 shots. I went from a 65 pound draw weight to 70, I went from the old style pins to fiber optic pins, I went from the old glue on arrow rest to some fancy arrow rest that never touchs the vanes, heck it even has a stabilizer! The only bummer is I have not gotten to practice with it at home yet to where I can go after this nice 8 point yet. Hopefully I will be out there after him by Wensday or thursday. Flat shooting is not the word for this bow in comparison to my old bow!!!!

Atta way Taz. I used to have the mindset years ago and refused to go from recurve to compound....Best thing I ever did and have learned over the past years to upgrade periodicaly. I can't believe how much better bows are nowdays! LOL

budbowhunter I do not make the money some of these guys make, but what I got felt great when I picked it up, it shoots great also. I got a Browning Ambusher, not the fastest bow on the market, the IBO is 297 FPS, so it is a drastic improvement over my old bow.

I truely understand Tazman. Remember I'm unemployed at the moment. And when I do work, it's for $7.00 or $8.00 an hour. I'm by no means a rich man myself. If the bow feels good to you, then it was the right choice. And if you got the right bow and saved $300.00 in the process, SWEET! Now you've got enough money to buy an Iowa nonresident hunter's license and come hunt the BIG boys! LOL Just kidding. So really, what's the specs on the bow? ATA, brace height, weight, what poundage did you set it for? etc.,etc. What sight are you going to use? arrows? Since I'm also setting up a new bow this year, I'm really interested in what other people are doing with their new setups.

Taz, Remember, its not how expensive the bow is that makes it great, it is how good it feels to you that makes it great. Merry Christmas.
