These are courtesy of a gent named "DCKHNTER" on the Duck Hunter's Refuge. He said that his neighbors or something like that were running dogs on the other side of the river and this old boy was getting out of the way.

Ive watched a deer bed down in a river to escape dogs....
Ive also watched one swim past going down stream w/ the current....
Ive also watched one jump in, swim down about 50 yrd then get out on the same side. All to mess the dogs up.
Deer are amazingly adaptive creatures and use water as a refuge.
