As long as they get rifle hunting out of the rut I would be happy.

Here in NC

1) Shorten 7 weeks of gunseason (central season muzzleloader + rifle)
2) Extend bow season
3) Go to a 1 buck limit
4) Allow even more does to be harvested (currently at 6)
5) Eliminate dog running in my county (Moore, the only county in the central season that allows this)

Oh yeah, I'm new here. Great site.

Bow season here starts on Oct. 1st, which is fine. I would like to have at least a month before muzzleloading opens up. This year only got1 1/2 weeks before muzzle loading season on the 13th.

For PA that's EASY!..........Hunting 7 days a week from Sept 15th until the Saturday before rifle season.

As it is now we start too late, and end just as the hunting is getting good, typically the 2nd weekend in Nov. You just get going and Pffft........you're done.:( No hunting on Sundays for a guy who works 5 and sometimes 6 days a week is obviously a big can of suck too.

(While I'm at it I'm throwingin a concurrent bear archery season for 1 week in November :))

I like Oklahoma's seasons, but I wish that they would change the gun season from the middle of the rut to December like Kansas.

I would make it later, too darn warm Sept. 15. And I can take the cold pretty good. I would love to have the opportunity to hunt more with snow on the ground. I still see most bucks with their headgear well into Feb. and March so I don't think shooting bucks that have dropped their antlers would be a problem.

Oct. 1 thru Jan 31.

I wouldn't change a thing in Wisconsin or in Michigan, I hunt both states!

I can't believe there are stil places you can't hunt on Sundays! I hear that you can still shoot crows though!?

Here in Wyoming, I do wish we had a deer seasonin or near the rut. Mulies/white tail rut in what, Nov. mostly. For most of the state, our archery is September. All of it. Also in Sept is elk, bear, antelope. That part is good. But rifle is usually the first 2 weeks in Oct. There are some areas that allow doe/fawn 'till end of Nov, but not bucks.

In Louisiana, we really need a better tag system. Last season they issued a single tag to be filled out by the hunter when an animal is taken. There are six lines on the tag to fill out. 3 for bucks and 3 for does, the season limit. There is no limit to how many of these tags you can get, in other words, if you fill one up, it would be easy to start another. It is too easy to cheat and there are many here who do. Before last season there were no tags at all, and no accountability for staying legal.
