I was just wondering how many diehard bowhunter we have. So if it was legal in your state would you bowhunt year round. If WV had something in season year round I couldn't hunt every day but I would hunt a lot.

I only checked yes.....because I have population problem. Once it was in check....I likely wouldn't. Even as UNpressured as "my" deer are.....I think being in their woods a LOT would make them go nocturnal, permanently.

I checked no because I believe you are talking about the killing part of hunting. I have no desire to shoot deer in spring or summer.
On the other hand, I actually do hunt year round. Shed hunting, putting up trail cameras, and other scouting trips can be considered hunting.

If it would cause no harm to deer, I would say yes, but it would feel strange hunting in the spring (would be harder as well).
The seasons are as they are for a reason (one being to foster fawn survival). For example, in our specific area of the state sometimes fawns drop late, so in only our area the first 2 weeks of archery are buck only. This screws up my odds of getting an easy kill (harvest), but maybe it does some good.
I know what my wife's opinion on this subject would be.

No way. I enjoy every other season of the outdoors to focus on one. Right now I am in the fishing mode and love it just as much as taking a trophy buck. Asa matter of fact I will be in my boat this afternoon looking for white bass and crappie.

That being said I could Whitetail hunt anytime from late Aug to about Feb. I've always wanted to bowhunt velvet bucks!

Besides getting divorsed is way to expensive
If one was to hunt year round, there is a good chance one of two things could happen
1) Get tired or burnt out on a hobby they love
or
2) Get sloppy about the way they hunt. (Not take extra percautions, scent percautions, bad/rushed shots, etc)

I voted no. One of the best things about hunting to me is making a new plan for each year and getting ready. Pondering every move like a professional killer should...
I think hunting year round would make me lose interest. There are other things in life to enjoy...
