Why I do not hunt over bait. Watch how far the deer drops. Shows the recovering also. Kid made a good shot!

They are more on alert in some areas over bait

Pressure matters also. Look at the timeyou first saw the deer 5:23. Then look at the time on the video when you see the deer eating 5:27. It takes awhile for a deer to come into a setup and get relaxed enough to eat.

then look at the body language of the deer, This deer is not fully relaxed when he shot.

Yeah i noticed that! It is true as i think of it, I am one of the few people that do hunt over bait(go ahead let the bashing begin)! But i actually start baiting around mid july through the season and if a new deer does come into the bait that i have never seen they definantely do not know how to act! I just never really put any thought into it but u do make a good point!
