Only have time this fall for one out of state trip. Should it be south dakota for pronghorn or a kansas for whitetails? I have never shot a pronghorn and have shot a lot of whitetails. Leaning towards the pronghorn partly because its a free hunt. both would be with bow.

Try something new ..... I always wanted to take an antelope, that would be my choice ... ya can't beat the price either

Voted Whitetail because of kansas.

It would depend on where I lived, and what class of deer I have taken at my local hunting spots. If I lived in a location where I havent taken any whitetails over 130" then I would probably go with the Kansas trip just because I love hunting whitetails so much. However, I personally voted for the pronghorn trip because I have been lucky enough to take up to 150" class bucks and a pronghorn trip would be wonderful.

If I were making your decision, I would be inclined to try something new. Whatever your choice enjoy the Hunt

I just love hunting new species. Pronghorn all the way from my vantage point.

I've always wanted to try Pronghorn,... but, ... I've ALWAYS wanted to hunt Whitetails in KANSAS just to see what all the talk is about. If you've never hunted in KS before, I'd probably lean that way. As much as I want a Pronghorn, I just couldn't pass the chance up at a true world class buck. Good luck either way

You said the pronghorn hunt is free. Go on that this year and save up for a Kansas hunt another year. After seeing Matt/PA's pronghorn and mount that's what I'd be going for.
