RE: carbon arrows?
I prefer the Beman 340 ICS Hunters. That should work perfect for your set up with either 100 or 125 grain heads.

RE: carbon arrows?
I use Beman ICS 400's with 100 grain Rocket Steelheads. Work awesome for me.

RE: carbon arrows?
I believe that you'll need a new Whisker Biscuit for carbon arrows, since the diameter is smaller. Somebody correct me if I'm wrong.

It keeps them from having to trim the "whiskers" as much. Several of them are 3D shooters too (with different bows) and they all claim to get good accuracy and less arrows wear with the alumimum biscuits instead of the ones made for carbons. As for arrow choice, I really like the the ICS Hunter 340s I'm shooting now, but I'm planning to get a dozen of the Blackhawk Vapor camo shafts in a few months to use for hunting. I like the slick surface of the Beman ICS Hunters much better than the Goldtip 5575's I was also considering when I bought the Bemans. Edited by - Jason McCurry on 12/23/2002 14:58:57 |
RE: carbon arrows?
Thanks for the info about using the aluminum whisker for carbons. Good to know.

RE: carbon arrows?
I've had very good sucess with ICS 400's and Thunderhead 100's. They told me at my local proshop that the carbon whisker biscuit was too restrictive and to stay with the aluminum. Works fine for me! Good Luck.
