RE: carbon arrows?
Carbon Express terminator hunters. a 30" arrow will weigh 541 grains, assuming a 125 grain head. Goes right through deer. The arrows are nearly impossible to break. had one go through a doe, embed the broadhead in a tree, and didnt damage the shaft at all...the broadhead was another story.

RE: carbon arrows?
I have used ACC 3-39's and really like them, I've been shooting them for about 12 years and can't say enough good about them.

RE: carbon arrows?
I had great success with Quickstike (59 or 69) shafts by Quest using Acuvane nocks and Splitfire 100 broadheads. I harvested 4 deer using the same shaft and broadhead (replacing the blades each time) and harvested 3 others with another shaft and broadhead. The fourth deer I harvested with the first one broke the top 3 inches off on a pass through shot from a treestand up 30 feet on a 15 yard shot. I purchased a dozen and still have 11. I also use a Whisker Biscuit and have worn out two disk before I wore out the shafts.
My wife shoots Gold Tips 3555 - they work great on her bow. |
RE: carbon arrows?
jca, with your set up, I would go with Gold Tips 7595's tipped with Muzzy's 100 gr. 3 or 4 blade broadheads. I use the 4 bladed ones and they are awesome, but the 3 blades are very good too. The reason I say to go with the 7595's is because I know a lot of people that could not get perfect bullet holes with the 5575's, and switched to the 7595's, and instant bullet holes, myself included. Gold Tip definitly needs to recalculate their shaft charts because they are a bit off. Gold Tips are the toughest arrow you'll find, and I love mine.

RE: carbon arrows?
Go with the Beman ICS 340's or 400's! I used the goldtips with the whisker biscuit and their too noisy! The Bemans are deffinately a great choice for your setup!

RE: carbon arrows?
Epsilons are very good. Extremely hardy and well made. I don't use a whisker rest. I use a dropaway rest on mines.

RE: carbon arrows?
Take your pic, Beman ICS or Goldtips, these are the most popular carbon arrows out on the market. Very well made!!<img src=icon_smile_wink.gif border=0 align=middle>
