RE: Question??????
Practice...practice...practice.
No such thing as instinct, more like learned. Takes a long time to know drop, angle, etc. Not that I am any good at it but messed with it enough to know what it takes. I had to EDIT. I did notnotice the COMPOUND BOW part. Only shot "instinct" with a recurve. Sorry. Same practice though. A lot. |
RE: Question??????
I got ride of the wheels two years ago and have gone to shooting a recurve it takes lots of practice. Start close and when you start grouping up close move back 5 yards and get consistent at that range. I have found that the farther I get from the target(30+yards) the more I have felt learning some type of aiming method to help has becomebenafical(sp?)gap, poi whatever works best for you. Hunting ranges is just muscle memory. good luck

RE: Question??????
best type of rest would probably be a drop away...second best in my opinion would probably be the two prong rest. both are accurate but the drop away eliminates friction which speeds up your arrow. love my dropaway but both are fast and both work great

RE: Question??????
What's the point of a compound if you aren''t going to take advantage. I'd recommend just shooting strictly recurve or learning to shoot with sights. Trust me, it's easier learning sights than to shoot instinctivly. Just my opinion though.

RE: Question??????
mechanical---tighter groups and more forgiveness...shooting instinctavly takes loads of time...working on it my self and its no easy task---instinctavly (as in without sights) your HAVE to shoot with fingers
