Interesting how feelings differ between a doe killed by a vehicle and a buck killed by a vehicle...

I dont know. It's like that with hogs. When there is a lot of them kill all of them you can.

I guess it is because of the perceptions of the prize and typically there are a heck of a lot more does than bucks in most areas.

Let the meat rot by the side of the road because there is an over abundance? I can understand the need to exterminate an overpopulation of nuiscance animals, but you're not going to convince me that a doe killed by a vehicle is any less of a waste simply because there are a lot of them.

Washington Hunter i know what u mean i hate seeing any animal dead on the side of the road it really sucks to see it happen. I hit a yearling doe last year and i got a permit so it would be registered with the state that it got killed.

Either sex getting killed due to a car is sad, but the meat and carcass hardly goes to waste. It makes it easier for buzzards, coyotes, etc to get their meals. That goes for any dead animal not just deer. Population wise, as bad as it sounds, it's better for the buck to doe ratio for a doe to get hit. The main point is, that just because we don't consume it, doesn't mean it's a waste.
