Default Making Climbing Stand Semi Perm.

I have heard of people turningtheir climbers into a semi perm. stand. How do you do this? I have an extra 15 feet of climbing sicks from a stand I will no longer be using and would like to put the sticks to use. I know a climber can get pretty lose on a tree if theres no weight on the platform and was wondering if theres a way to keep the plat form solid to the tree. The reason Im thinking of doing this is, the stands not the quietest when climbing and decending and it seems I get pretty over worked when climbing and find it easier to shimmy up sticks than it is to sit, climb, sit climb. Id like to purchase a lighter climber but I really cant afford to buy a new one.

I have seen this done and usually on trees that there are branches in the way to use a climber . Put ratchet straps on both parts and secure it to the tree so so it won't slide . put a strap on the seat loop that goesaround the tree and secure that as well so it doesn't tip back and forth as you get in and out of it

I have put the cable of a climber over a limb, or a screw in step to keep it from falling in the past. I have also used ratchet straps.

Tree Lounge, I chained and strapped mine on after putting up climbing sticks. I hated climbing with that thing..noisy..cumbersome...etc.. but it has made an excellent sitall day fixed stand!

Tx, hit it on the head. Take a screw in step, screw it in tight and then leave it upside down. Place the cabel of the climber between the tree and the step. Works like a charm. And secure the bottom with a couple of straps.I'd replace the seat with a more permanent model that can be secured to the tree better.
