arrows
i know this gets beat up and down...but im shopping for arrows. as soon as my string is done im going to the shop to get it put on and buy arrows.
i want something tough that im not going to have problems with.
i also want a finished weight of atleast 450-550grs with 125gr tips(already got 9 125gr broadheads)
im just looking for a GOOD hunting arrow. i do alot of backyard shooting...but im a hunter, not a target archer...i shoot to become better not to win competitions.
what do you guys recomend??
ps...the bow is 70lb, 28" draw (maybe 29" i have to get that checked) probably going to be shooting a QAD ultra rest...what legnth and spine should i go with
thanx guys....i wanna do it right this time around...and want a nice decintly heavy hunting arrow

RE: arrows
I've used pretty much all the different brands of arrows over the years. My favorites are Carbon Express and Goldtip. I used to like blackhawks when they were still made in Ohio, but then the last batch I bought had a super bad coating on them, that was really rough.
The one thing I insist on when I buy arrows, is that I buy them from CAS. Cliff does awesome work. I tried to scan my arrow a second ago so I could post a picture, but it didn't some out so well. He has a couple pictures on his site if you want to check them out. http://www.cascustomarrows.com/main.html
and he has some arrows on eBay at the moment that look pretty damn nice. I like the purple / white color combination. http://cgi.ebay.com/CUSTOM-BUILT-ARROWS-TED-NUGENT-GOLD-TIPS-ARCHERY-ARROWS_W0QQitemZ280119079292QQihZ018QQcategoryZ208 36QQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem

RE: arrows
While I don't shoot them I would think that maybe the FMJ's would be a good arrow. I have shot them and liked them but I choose to shoot AC SS's...
ICS is a great arrow for the cash spent too...

RE: arrows
since we're talking about arrows,
I'm shooting a tomkat at 54# through a WB drawlength is 27.5
I've ordered some easton st axis arrows 400 spine and will tip them with 125gr muzzy's
any comments ?
I had the guy at my shop telling me about the beman arrows, but I like my arrows in camo, so the camo hunters would be nice.....and they are a lot cheaper than the eastons.....I'll buy me some and compare....
I am putting on blazers 2" and I'm waiting on some new vanes to arrive in the shop, a huntingvane as rigid as the blazers but much cheaper...
I'll let you know when I've tested them as well....
