Forget the wind DAN, Just hunt.

That's a whole different thread.......speaking of that,where's HCH been?

HCH owns a Pest Control business and this is a pretty busy time of year for him, from what I hear. I think he just doesn't like us any more.

I am pretty sure of the general area I will be in but as for the actual tree, I will wait on the wind direction and the deer to let me know exactly where to be.

I found a sweet spot leading to a small pond in the middle of the woods. In the beiging of the season last year I could not belive the stead traffic in and out of that place. I hunted it last year opening day and saw some very promising young bucks. I will return there this fall and hope for dry weather and a mature buck.

first morning there is a GOOD GOOD chance i will be back at the same spot i was originally at THIS year. i climbed half way up the tree. i have permission from the landowner and the farmer, plus the land owner of the land i cross to get to the spot.

halfway up the tree here comes a guy CHARGING through the woods ready to fight me. told me i had to go its his spot blah blah etc...he been hunting there 20 yrs and got permission etc etc...i figured ok its one of the farmers friends or landowners friends and im not going to start trouble over a spot i got alot more within a short 5 minute drive.

turns out he got permission from the landowners land he crosses...but not the farmer that farms the land or the actual land owner. he said he will be back there this year...HA. i will be in my tree friday night before opening day and sleeping in my tree and he will have to cut it down to get me down...

i should never left. im just too much of a nice guy...rest of the season i had no trouble with him. i guess about 5 different people yelling at him helped lol. my farmer friend actually drove his tractor pretty much right to his tree after i told him about it. he farms the land and the farmers give him the hunting rights...all someone has to do is ask and they will know where everyone else likes to hunt and will be granted permission. noone has problems...everyone seems to know that. permission from 20yrs ago doesnt mean much to me and most likely land owners. i had permission to hunt there since i was 16...but still stop by and talk to the land owners and everything yearly....
