RE: Nocking in the Loop

Many target shooters use the loop under the arrow instead of the arrow in the loop. That is the way they tied my girlfriends loop on her rintec when we got it, and the the guy is a FITA record holder and was on the olympic archery team. I didn't feel inclined to argue with him;).

It had become the preferred method by most tournament shooters a couple years ago when I was still shooting but I am not sure what most of them are using now.
I read once that this method of using a loop keeps downward pressure on the arrow, as you stated, and keeps the arrow from bouncing on the rest as the arrow leaves the bow. So I'm wondering if someone used a loop like this with a drop away would the arrow drop along with the rest?
