Nocking in the Loop

Does it make a difference if you nock inside of your string loop or outside of your string loop. Is one way more accurate than the other?

You should be knocking the arrow inbetween the loop.

Are you talking about the nock sets being inside or outside the loop or are you talking about where you nock the arrow? You could go either way on the nock sets but I think having them inside the loop is more conventional. The arrow should always be inside the loop as Mowtown said.

Are you talking about tying a loop under the arrow?

I prefer to tie my loop under my arrow and nock above it.That allows for more downward pressue.

It had become the preferred method by most tournament shooters a couple years ago when I was still shooting but I am not sure what most of them are using now.

Well if you're on the Hoyt shooting staff and if you take bucks like the one on the wall in your avatar, I'm certainly not going to question you on it.Looks like it works prettywellfor you.:)

That isn't my buck,it was killed by my stepdad's uncle and hangs in my stepdad's house.

I have never killed anything remotely close to that.He scored 187 6/8.

If you tie your loops right, you do not need a nock on the string at all.
