Biggest buck you've ever seen is in YOUR YARD. It's legal.....you have a tag.......do you shoot it, if you can get off a shot?

Heck yea I shoot it. It would never happen in my yard, there aren't enough woods around but given the oppurtunity and there are no laws against it he's dead.

The guy who built my house in 2002 saw the biggest buck ever (who knows what that means..but he held his arms way wide and tall to show a friggin Elk dimensions) On the back half of my 2.5 acres. In that situation I'm shooting!

No I would not, all we need is a deer floppin around in somebodies yard ashe dies. Then hunter coming over doing his victory dance. Somethings are best left not to be seen;)

I would make sure I asked for permission to get him before I went into your front yard. Wouldn't want to compund the trauma by trespassing LOL :D;).

If it's in MY yard, it's not legal. No way to get 50 yards (PA archery safety zone) away from the other houses.

Now, if it's in my hypothetical yard that the legality is not an issue that buck has got some problems.;)

A couple years ago my mom took the dogs out while my dad and I were out hunting and a monster 10 point walked 60 yards from her and the dogs. He bedded about 200 yards from their house and my dad was able to sneak to 50 yards, but never got a shot. This stuff does happen depending where you are. I see no shame in it.

Depends on the yard or size of the yard, the surroundings, etc ... if its legal, you feel its ethical from the shot to the possible recovery scenarios,then why not?

We had a nice buck hanging around the "neighborhood" where I'm at this winter. Everyone was waiting to snatch up his antlers when they dropped. My next door neighbor was sippin coffee early one morning anf watched as the buck dropped both sides right out in front of him in the field. Needless to say he got both halves. [:@]

When I was still living in the UP, we had a MONSTER 10 coming to the yard, and he was dead meat if we were outside city limits, which we weren't, but about 100yards.

I voted no but in my younger day's I would have smoked anything in my yard. But know it is more about the hunt then the kill. I might have to think twice if it was 180 inch deer. Oh crap know you have me in a moral dilemma (lol) Thanks

honestly cant say i would. It just wouldnt be the same thrill as earning it the hard way. anticipation building through out the season ,then the grand fanally (you just cant beat that way) of HUNTING. just my $.02 cents

Nope, my yard is to small. I'm in a subdivision with a house on each side of me. If I lived in the countryand everything was legal, the deer would be in trouble.

I know...it was hard, but there were alot of poachers around our area that had been caught, and people really notice when a deer of that caliber disappears. I thought about it many times, but just couldn't do it. A poacher ended up killing him inside the airport fence and cutting a hole to get him out.

I shoot at leastone in my yard or one of my neighbors yards every year.A big buck would just make it that much sweeter. Yes it is legal and we have way too many deer around here anyway.

I voted YES.

But I did not shoot it in my yard, but in the 17 acre 'yard' of a close friend. 16 of the 17 acres are wooded and the property is rural indeed.

11 point, 6.5 year old, 265 field-dressed weight. Time and effort=MUCH scouting andstrategy.

Harvested legally=priceless.

I voted no, mainly because I have a lot of houses on either side of mine. I do have woods behind my house, but w/ my luck he would run right into the front yard of my neighbors. I also like the challenge of hunting deer in their territory, not my deck.
