Default uni bushing saves another

Well,I was sighting in after a few changes today and destroyed another uni and nock but it saved my arrow.Acc's are expensive but well worth it.

And yes, that is where I was aiming. This was only 20 yards.

That's great is saved the arrow.

I just bought some Gold Tip pin nock guards to put on my GT's. If I'm going to group shoot for tuning or sighting I'm tired of worrying about breaking arrows.[:@]

Yes indeed. ACC's are terrific arrows, and the uni bushing and nocks are a big reason why.

I've seen them robinhooded before though......But it ain't easy.

just bought some Gold Tip pin nock guards to put on my GT's.
I used pin nocks right up till I had a brand new nock explode upon release the arrow barely made it to the target after taking a chunk out of my bow hand.

Now I use uni bushings and g nocks in my GT's

If you are using the GT's with a 246 id then the Easton ac 360 uni bushings are a perfect fit but dont glue them in I just put a plastic sandwhich bag over the end of the arrow push the uni bushing in then strip the plastic down then a quick round of the bushing with a lighter gets rid of any left over plastic.

That way if you do get a back end hit just pull the bushing out and insert a new one.

I have never seen a low energy setuplike mine robinhood one.The higher energy setups have less trouble thanmine.

I also use Easton field points that are rounded on the front instead of sharp, that also helps.

Ausie,

Thanks for the horror story and tip. They were cheap to buy and it will not cause me to loose any sleep if I don't use them.
