Sorry guys, not a deer story. Somethin smaller, much smaller. I was doin some stalkin tonight and came up to this one spot of the property thats really open and short grass. I always see quail in here but never get shots. This time was different. I saw a couple birds in this fallin over tree tryin to get out of the wind. I crawled up on them (10 yards) and nocked an arrow and let one bird have it. The other birds kinda scattered but didnt go far. I nocked another arrow and shot a second bird at 18 yards. COOL!!! But wait, birds still there, i nock another arrow and while i drew and settled on a third bird, another one jumps at 5 yards and goes straight away, and i drill him to!!!! 3 quial with a bow and one was flyin. Im kinda proud. lol. Anyways, its not a giant buck, still was fun though.

Good, deal if we can the bird hunters with the dogs to see the same thing....I have taken a few birds myself. Also argued with the dnr here because our bow taggs are small game, but they wouldn't let me put my goose tag on it. keep up the stalking next will be turkeys!!!

WAY TO GO!!!! I'm impressed. I would have to cough up the money to have those 3 birds mounted together on 1 plaque so I could spend the next 20 years telling that story to all my friends! LOL

Tazman the first two were sittin, and i had my deer hunting bow(i was actually down there just kinda goofin off seein if i could glass some deer on the river) but when i found the birds i went after them. However, the third bird was kinda luck. He jumped up but i was allready drawn back. He was goin straight away so it wasnt all that tough, still outta the air though. lol. There wasnt much to be mounted. They all had chunks out of them and stuff. I did take some pics though. I hope the next one is a turkey, ive missed enough to finally have a grudge against them. I missed one at 20 yards during the spring, and during that same fall, i had 30 come into 5 yards, and somethin spooked them and they all started flying, so i shot at one in the air and missed (gobler feever i guess).
