WOW!
Everything below.....with the bow...
1st wounded animal (he lived)
1st deer taken
1st buck taken (7-pointer -same first deer)
1st Piebald deer
1st time butchering my own deer, alone
1st doe taken
1st buck taken NOT in my core hunting area
1st time I saw more than 5 bucks in 1 day
1st time I had a deer bed down near me (2x)
1st 8-pointer (deer I'm having mounted)
1st time witnessing deer fighting (4 fights in one afternoon)
1st time seeing a doe urinating on her tarsals
1st full season bowhunting
1st time harvesting a deer I have on gamecam
I'm sure there is more.....I just can't recall.

I had a couple of good firsts as well:
First deer taken that I know I called in (Can call).
First buck worth taking to the taxidermist.
First fox with a bow or any tackle for that matter.
One bad first:
First time I had my car broken into (while recovering my buck).[:@]

Last year I took my first doe with a bow. It was the first doe I took since I was 14 and that was my first deer ever and that was with a Flintlock muzzleloader.
I grew up under the old concept that any buck is better than a doe..I changed as I became successful and started taking only Quaility Bucks, but I could never drop the hammer, so to speak on a doe. Finally I got over that hump! It was the best eating deer I've ever shot (well over 25 bucks later) My family devoured it in record time and they are sending me out with instructions to fill the freezer with Doe this year.

Your "transition" is commendable, GR8. Congrats on the doe.
If you wanna come to NC for a few days.....we'll send you back LOADED!
