sounds like my season, only i hunted all those times to end up calling one in for a friend.

CONGRATULATIONS!!! they sure do feel alot better when you work really really hard to get them dont you. my alabama gobbler is a much bigger trophy to me than my gobbler from last fall simply because i had to hunt three days of stayin after him all day, i cant even imagine 25 days[8D].

bow bird is my goal next year, and be sure to post pics of the mount for us.

I guess I need to follow your advice into deer season, too, Germ. LOTS of people picking me to kill the smallest deer....lol. Aim small - miss small, huh?

I wonder where that comes from??????[&:] If that piebald had been a brown deer instead of a white and brown one......my smallest deer was 1-1/2 yr old doe.

I tell ya I get NO respect!....lol

Jeff, way to go! I've got to congratulate you on a number of things.

First, on the bird. Way to stick with it. You certainly put your time in to get them this season.

Second, on having a wife that is understanding enough to let you put that time in. It's great that you have that support at home.

Third, on having a job that allows you to put 25 hunts in turkey hunting and 46 hunts in deer hunting. Wow! I don't have that many hunts in the last three seasons. That's unbelievable that you are able to do that. Congrats.
