Spray paint for carbon Arrows?
#1
Those of you guys that spraypaint your carbon arrows instead of using wraps...what kind of paint do you guys use? How do you prepare the shaft? how many coats do you put? Do you have any problem with fletching glue?
I would like to give it a try but would hate to ruin my arrows...Thanks for the help!

I was wondering how much weight it added to the rear of the shaft in comparison to a wrap?
But... the results are FAR more satisfying -- to me -- than merely having a wrap on. The wrap's easier, but I've received WAY more comments from other bowhunters about my custom capping and cresting -- even in the simplistic patterns you see on my thread.

I used to paint mine, it is pretty easy and doesn't take long. Greg's thread explains the how to's very well, so I won't go into it.....I used RustOLeum lacquer and I had but one problem.....The glue melted the paint off of the arrow.....It was weird....Perhaps a different glue wouldn't do it, but mine did.

Hello Greg,
Thank you, yes, I did read the whole tread and it's very interesting...
I'm not very worried about the added weight if any, my hunting arrows are kind of "front heavy" with 125 grs Slick Tricks...

I'll add my answer to that thread so all the information will stay in one place; I know a lot of people have that thread saved in their "favorites" menu...
