Does dropping fawns yet?

Default Does dropping fawns yet?

OK, so here's my real question. I may have the chance to do a little crop damage control hunt in central Wisconsin. This is going to take place this month, so when do the majority of does drop their fawns here? I would guess it would not be the coolest to see a kicking fawn when gutting out a "fat" doe. Thanks

Don't know about Wisconsin, but here inRI and CT I've been seeing alot of tiny deer tracks lately while turkey hunting.

Just don't gut it. Quarter it without field dressing it if you're worried about such. You'll only lose the inner tender loins.

Yea, I really will take him up on the offer if I can, but that would be a good idea about quartering instead, but if there is a kicking fawn, what would you guys do?

I haven't seen a fawn yet, but I did see a doe so ready to pop that it was affecting the way she walked. Shouldn't be too long at all now.
