Next World Record?

Based on the last P&Y issue I looked at, it would have to be Saskatchewan (sp), Iowa, Minnesota, or KS...
I'm surprised you don't here more about Minnesota.. They had something like 3 in the top 10 P&Y's for that issue... Big deer, 160+......

Id deffiently have to say either Illinois, Iowa or Kansas. There are way to many big deer taken in any of the three states every year for a new world record not to happen sooner or later.

I have a feeling someones gona kill a deer in KY that really blows people's minds this season. Everyone looks at the Western part of the state, but Ithink it will come out of Henry or Oldham. Or Germ will kill the state record in September...one or the other.

Missouri...Prolly Northern Missouri, but we do have the largest whitetail on record, but it died of natural causes. If that big boy got some of his genes around before he died there might be some potential here.

I guess it's my turn. I have to say central Alberta (Bow Zone) as well, although I am partial to this region.
Someone previously said they didn't think Alberta would come through because of the lack of bowhunters. That's exactly why I think this is the spot. This 1600 square miles ( not a typo) of near perfect Whitetailhabitat hasn't had gun hunting since the mid 70's and has very little pressure, allowing these bucks to growHUGE racks. Giant bucks die of old age in parts of this area.
As Mitch said, Wayne Zaft's buck shows what this region is all about.
