I had mentioned above that I bought mine used, but was still like new. As TFOX and others have stated, if you want a jig that will last. Cant go wrong with bitzenburger.

I don't know if I bought an exceptionally bad one, or if you got an exceptionally good one... All I know is I've seenseveral people complain about the precision of the Graylings over the years on several forums (and my personal unbiased experience backs that up; heck, I would have LOVED to have been able to do the same job for half the price -- that's why I bought it in the first place), and I've yet to see one complaint about the Bitz -- other than its price. Butgiven if it's the last one you ever need to buy...

It's sort of like quality clothing... about the time I was in undergrad school, I started discovering that I could buy one really nice, quality article of clothing (didn't matter if it was pants, shirt, or suit) and spend considerably more than I could have bought a "functional equivalent" for -- but I saved WAY much more down the road by not having to re-buy all the time due to fraying, fading, or just plain wearing out. Quality stuff holds up at the dry cleaners so much better, too -- and the fit is better.

From my experience, the Bitz is just like that.

I am not impressed with mine, bought it because it was supposed to be the best. Gets the job done, but seems like alot of play in things.

Well, I probably wouldn't pay the full retail price for it... but then again I don't pay retail for anything. I love my bitz, I paid $40 on Ebay and it was NIB. I'd buy another one for sure though it's pretty indestructible.

So would ebay be the way to go then as far as buying the Bitz is concerned? I did the math at work today and it would come out to around $85 for the jig and a helical clamp for it. I didn't realize it only came with the straight clamp, and the aftermarket right helical clamp is another $26.

One - If I wind up buying the Bitz I'll ship you my E-Z Fletch for free bud. If I don't get it this check [I may be dropping $80 on a rest, see my thread in the tech forum] I'll pick it up the following check.

Didn't you get a job in an archery shop? If so,you should be able to pick it up a little cheaper than that.

That's after my discount.

Bitz jig w/ straight clamp is $69.99.

Right helical clamp is $26.99.

I get a 20% discount.

Comes out to around $84 and changeI think.
