Default Nasty, wet, yet eventful morning in MO...

Well, Ty went out a few days ago and build a couple of REALLY nice blinds where we had been seein some birds in the field. He was really excited to get into one of them and hunt. Unfortunately it was raining this morning so they ended up popin up the double bull and sittin it out. This big gobbler came out way down the field and they watched him strut and feed around for almost two hours. Finally the birds headed their direction but just hung up at about 65 yards. They slow came a little closer and a little closer till they were about 48 and not getting any closer. Ty ranged him, drew, settled his pin on the bird, and released sending an arrow right through his chest and actually cutting part of his beard. The arrow went through the chest and left side of the breast into the back let. The bird ran arround the field in a small circle, then piled up! Ty said the bird looked a lot better strutting, but here are some waterlogged pics! [8D]

Way to go TY, Man talk about a shot, 48 yards!!! WOW good job puttin the smack on him. My last season bird rolled in a mud hole after i shot him, makes for some bad pics, but you can never take the smile away.

Yea I was out this morning. Not a really pleasant day.[:'(] Good news is i saw three hens and not a tom in sight. Maybe this weekend will be the one. Bad news is it was raining, nasty, cold, and i had to leave the woods early to come take a test at 12:30.[:@] Tell your friend congrats on the bird!
