My last name if Proffitt. One of my PAL football coaches started calling me Proff when I was 9 and and 33 years later I am still known as Proff. Troy, that wouldn't have been in honor of a certain Tony Dorsett, would it? ;) |

I had just spent 35k on a really nice boat, and I couldn't figure out what to name it. I was sitting with my wife and I said, I don't know what to name it, but I'm sure a lucky dog for having it. It just kinda took off from there.:)

Sorry to diappoint, but my user name has nothing to do with my passion for bow hunting. I happen to be a Locksmith by profession, so I choose what I thought was the obvious.

I use to breed rottweillers and my breeder title was Rockby's Rotties. The first part of the name comes from my first male who's nickname was "Rocky" and the second part comes from my first female who's nickname was "Baby". I had it on my license plate and everyone use to pronounce it "ROCK BY" like its spelled but its suppose to be pronounced "ROCK-BEE"

I am a team roper in the rodeos. I heel which means I rope the two back feet of a running steer after the header catches the steer and turns him at a 90 degree angle. Hence "2 foot roper".

Mine too, is entirely not clever. My initials and the year I graduated from high school. I had other logins (like ebay) and I just tried to keep stuff the same for everything else.

I love to deer hunt. So I tookall the vowels out of deer hunter and then added my DSN# from the Police Department. This is the only forum where my screen name is not MO50 for Missouri five-0.

I spent most of my life wandering the banks of the rogue river fishing for salmon, steelhead or trout. Also I tend to be mischievious at times and figured it would fit.

Was intitially Badatta2d..Why?? Somehow in my younger days Igot the nickname "Bad Boy" when the internet craze hit..I just started using Badatta2d for everything as a screen name. When I settled down and had 2 kids (especially the second which is a girl now 1 YO) Rob/PA said I would turn into a softy and she would melt my heart..all true. He said my Name should be GR8atta2d.. So I changed it at that point to reflect a more positive happy outlook on life.
Not that I was ever "Bad" per-say..or negative as a rule..it was more tongue in cheek as Bad means good type of thing.... |

(That is, if you define "living the dream" assurviving on Top Ramen and Cup-o-noodles, living in adingy beachfront shack, waiting tables for pennies on the dollar, spending every spare dollaron rent - beer - women - and boardshorts). I would sell my soul to have the chance to do that again, and there isn't a day that passes where I don't let my mind take me back... Tan girls, food on my plate, a roof over my head, a couple dollars in my pocket, daylight to burn andmy longboard calling my name. It just doesn't get any better than that. )

My first FTO out of police academy started caling me Tiny(I am 6'5" and was 275#). After awhile, all the other guys were calling me that, then it spread to the street and somehow evolved into BigTiny.
