Default Broadhead success survey results

I'll leave this pinned for a short while since I received a few emails wondering when the results would be in.Sorry it took me so long. Below are the results of last seasons annual survey. There was a wide range of animals reported ranging from rabbit, whitetail, muleys, blacktail, elk, bear, moose, caribou, antelope, ram, goat, to several African big game species(mostly by one member). Each number represents a kill using that broadhead. I want to stress this is simply a survey and want to add that this does not in any way prove that one brand or model of broadhead is better or worse. I think it does show that their are many more quality heads to choose from than in years past, and also proves that some heads are working well with little to no change in design.

Note: some models of the same brand of broadheads are grouped together due to it being basically very similiar or due to the lack of information provided to sufficiently separate them. Example is the Slicktrick. I grouped the standard and magnum model together. In all honesty the info provided was at or nearly 50% use of both. Example: Grim Reaper and Deadhead Reaper(?) was reported. I cannot find info for Deadhead Reaper, so took it for granted its a variation of the Grim Reaper model.

Hopefully some reports were not left out or missed due to server upgrades made during the survey.
The results start out with the most reported to the least reported by brand:

Great Info Cougar. Thanks for taking the time to do it. Easily searchable for those who ask "what about X-Brand Broadhead"?

Nice to see we have a wide variety plus many options that are notas popular. I was among the Muzzy Mx-4 Users and can only report great results. It's interesting to see that fixed blades still seem to rule! I wonder how this compares to past years when Mechanicals were New(er).

Thank you very much for taking the time to post the report. It's very interesting to see what everyone uses and how successful the heads were. It would be even more interesting to hear how far the deer or other animal went after the shot to see how effective they are at a very quick death. Sure, some may kill deer, but how quickly did they die? That's the most important fact to me, other than accuracy of course. Thanks again!

Well, I think given a razor sharp broadhead& Accuracy (assuming proper shot placement)a Quick Death is not brand dependant.

Don't feel bad. Only two kills were reported using Rocky Mtn. Turbos and I had one of them.[&:] Personally I think its a great head.

Hopefully I didn't miss any posts, but thats possible. In one of Justins posts during the survey he said something about a servor upgrade and its very possible that some posts were lost.

I think you're right - I only registered in 4 of my kills this year.

And no, I shoot 125 grains buddy.

You used to know me. What happened to us?
