Why do people think it's supposed to be so easy?

I wonder what atlasman could accomplish in the woods with the time he is "sacraficing" from his family while he is on his computer finding endless ways to twist and contort other people's words into meaning something entirely different from what they wrote. I wish he could realize when enough is enough. It's time for me to get off of here, I'm taking my kids fishing.

I will tell you what Atlasman .. or is it Gutless man? ... as soon as you get the guts to let me know exactly who I am talking to by sending me your name and city and state, we will converse about anything you like. Everyone here knows my name, where I am from and how they can contact me as well as my website where they couldfind out even more personal contact information. I wont have a debate with a nameless-faceless-gutless internet tough guy. Put it out there and we will debate, until then my posts are for everyone else, even if you happen to get quoted in them. I think most people can see right through your tactic of trying to take my comments towards you and spin them so that it looks like I am putting myself in some elite class and talking down to the world. I have made a serious and concious effort to associate myself with other everyday real world hunters through my writings. Your serious case of "little mans syndrome" could benefit from some serious couch time with the local shrink!

Translation.........You are never gonna clear up why you tell people one thing in your book and something different in this forum

Besides your obvious lack of maturity you also have a convenient selective memory when your hypocrisy is exposed.
I think the saddest thing of all is you claiming to be so opposed to people "hiding" information but that is EXACTLY what you tried to do by pleading guilty to trespassing when you killed your deer..........you tried to be sneaky about it and do it behind closed doors where no one else would ever know..........all the while telling people in your book that your ethics could NEVER be compromised.
I never expected you to answer it anyways...........your continued regression into immature name calling is a bit surprising (and telling)though.

Some of you seem to be tied down from doing the things you like to do the most.
I have found that by working part time I still can afford tobuy beer. Then I can be drunk when the Ole warhorse & kids get home and after some quality family time they are tickled pink to see me go hunting. Its just a big win win for me!!!!!!!!
Some day when I get a buck I will write a how to book for all of you losers.

I fully understand why "outdoor writer" plead guilty to trespassing. In some cases, it is a ton easier and much cheaper to just pay the fine than hire a lawyer and fight it. It's the nature of the court system. I found myself in a similar situation a few months ago when i was coyote hunting with a guy I work with. We were suppose to meet his buddies that had hounds, while we were waiting for them, a coyote crossed the road in front of the truck and he grabbed his gun and shot it from the truck.(he was driving) Somebody called and turned "us" in. 10 minutes later a game warden was there, long story short, even though my gun was cased and unloaded, I still got the same tickets as the guy who shot the coyote. Could I have hired a lawyer and fought it? Sure if I wanted to shell out $1500. However I have a wife and 4 children and can't quite afford that, so I plead no contest and paid the $420 fine while grinding my teeth. I will no longer go hunting with this guy, as he obviously doesn't share the same values in hunting as I do. It would of been nice to know that ahead of time. The real kick in the mouth was when I got home, my dad called and said that we lost a 2 week old calf to coyotes the previous night.
