RE: Fitness/Exercise

I've lifted weights since I was 12 years old and my football coach told us all to ask for weights for Christmas!

I try to lift 4 - 5 days/week and I've added running to my routine. I get up early and try to run anywhere from 3 to 4.5 miles by sunrise - and before breakfast. The aerobic activity helps promote cardiovascular health, stamina and helps burn fat. The lifting strengthens bone along with muscle and helps to increase lean body mass which improves your metabolic rate even at rest.

Oh, I'm also a fitness instructor for the Sheriff's dept where I work.

Mr Holbrook(DaveH) is really 5' tall, weighs 354 lbs and eats twinkies for inspiration! His idea of bowhunting is from the side window of his station wagon! JK of course. He is really a fit guy. He just can't touch us Georgia boys who play soccer, indoor right now, lift (circuit training), mountain biking andI run on one of those small trampolines to save my rightknee from excessive wear and tear! I also add a lot of stretching as well. I think it was Atlasman that said it, andI will agree--do it for your personal health and well being, and it will also benefit your hunting. Maybe he really is Charles Atlas?;)
