Has anyone tried these pills?? do they work??
|
RE: Sportsmans Edge
I have not tried the pills but i always get a good chuckel when i see the comercial...
Personally, i couldnt see spending my hard earned money on pills that are supposed to make me hunt better. |
RE: Sportsmans Edge
Yea I get a hoot outta that commercial too. Pretty much saying pop a pill and watch a 190" buck fall into your lap.

ORIGINAL: lrhuntr yea I know, it's just crazy what there marketing these days! Whats next, a cream you put on your head that makes you think like a whitetail. I got the commercial already, " Buck On, apply directly to the forehead, Buck On, apply directly to the forehead." God I hate that commerical. in a few years when this stuff comes out just remember you heard it first here. |
RE: Sportsmans Edge
I have wondered about these vitamins, and no I don't buy into the commercials. I was just more curious about how it rates compared to other vitamins. It says it targets more nutrients that the hunters need. I curriently just take Centrum for my vitamins. I am also curious to see if their is a better vitamin out their.

RE: Sportsmans Edge
I believe that with few exceptions, you'll find that your Centrum vitamins probably have the same if not more of what you need than the sportsmens edge pills do. I believe they ad a bit of guarana or some sort of attention enhancing supplement in them.
Nothing wrong with vitamins, but they're no better than your average multivitamin. |

anything to make a buck

RE: Sportsmans Edge
Well I guess I'll be the exception. I used them last year during the season.
One reason I wanted to try them is because I'm a little near sighted. Not to the point I need glasses , but because at 40 yards, the target blurs a little. I don't take a vitamin on a regular basis. It did make a slight difference in two areas. One, I could see a little better at longer distances. Very Slight. Two, (and this surprised me) I could hold the pin steadier for longer shots. Would I buy them again? Yes, probably. But I don't take a daily vitamin, if I did, I might not get them again. Just my .02 |
RE: Sportsmans Edge
No, never tried them. I wouldn't feel right taking a drug to enhance my senses for hunting. That is just me though.

RE: Sportsmans Edge
The P&Y will eventually adopt a non-doping policy so watch out the 230" buck you get with these babies could be disqualified. Also just a quick note: Make sure not to use any creams, thevitamines can be absorbed by the skin thereby also disqualifing you. Now you can't say you didn't know.
Good luck. Tom |
