Which BH for turkey? UPDATED

Which would you use and why? These are the only two heads in the poll because they are the only ones I own. I know either will kill a bird. Which will do it more effectively? Don't bother recommending other heads. I won't be buying any new ones. I will be shooting them through mesh in a pop-up. Thank you for your input, Greg

Bottom line it takes less force for a COC broadhead to enter into any game body.

I vote for COC.

Although I find it very interesting you shoot two different grain broadheads.

I use the 125gr Magnus out of my recurve. They shoot well out of my compound as well as I found out this afternoon. I normally use the Muzzy with the compound.

Of the 2 I would use the muzzy. Without buying different broadheads, I would at least consider adders to put behind them. It is about 3.00 or so for a package of 6. They won't shoot bad either......... With either of those by themselves, I would stay away from body shots and shoot for the base of the neck or head.

Which ever of the 2 that sports the biggest cutting diameter.....For turkeys, the bigger the hole the better.

How will they shoot through mesh with a back-up? I guess I can find out tomorrow. I'll give it a try and let ya'll know.

I'm not sure....But I don't think those adders will fly well at all through mesh..

Yeah, I have my concerns as well. I will take a shot at about 10 yds and see if it warrants continuing out to 20 yds or just giving up on the adders.
