Buck,

They already make a bow like that. It's called the '07 Allegiance.

I don't see the sacrifice in draw cycle for speed in the Dreny. By far the second smoothest bow I have ever drew back. (1st was my SBXT)

My buddy has shoulder problems and cannot draw back his allegiance any more. He thinks that bow draws for crap.

EVERYBODY IS DIFFERENT.

Try a Ross 334 at least . . .I havn't shot the rest of them yet. but so far it has the best draw cycle of the bows I've shot.

I'm with PreacherTony and Gutshot. One of the bows that I shot when shopping was a Diamond Liberty 70#. I strained to draw it and my shoulder popped and I almost hit the ground. I stood up and rotated my arm and it popped again. The owner and my wife heard both pops. (I still have shoulder problems from that.) When I shot the Drenalin at 70#, it drew smooth and felt much lighter than the Liberty, and theLiberty is reported to be an easier drawing bow. I don't know why I'm different, but I love the draw cycle on the Drenalin. Guess we're all different.
I owned a liberty for a couple years and it's still the smoothest drawing bow I've ever owned. I've not heard one complaint about the draw cycle on the lib. but then again there's a lot of different people out there.
I' m surprised to hear someone say that as well. I think the Diamonds are an easy draw. No harshness when the cam breaks over and 70lbs. feels like 60. At least to me.

Maybe there's just a difference in terminology here. Smooth, harsh, etc. are written and as such subjective.
The original post referred to the feel of the weight of the draw. I think some are responding to the smoothness of the cycle. It can draw smooth but feel like a ton. The opposite could also be true.
Ididn't shoot either of these bows so I can't respond to them.
Yeah I see what you're saying here. I owned a Liberty when it was made by "bowtech" not "diamond". I know they're both the same but I owned it when it was a bowtech, whether or not it has any relevance on this topic is yet to be determined. Anyways Little Chief I know what you're saying and I'm sorry about the situation you encountered. That was unfortunate. I wish you had a better experience the first time with bowtech/diamond. To be honest I'd give 'em another try, just make sure the pro shop you deal with is cool. Thanks guys.

Looks like some of you guys need to hit the wieghts.[8D]jk. The main reason I chose the Black Ice was because of the draw, when I drew it for the first time, it felt like it was backed all the way down. After asking the guy it was actually at 65lbs, instead of the 60 Iwas thinking, that sold me instantly. Then boy did I make a costly mistake by shooting it:). Dead to the hand and fast to boot. Needless to say I was $1000 short after the day. But don't forget its solocam, you pay for the draw and not the speed.

Obviously, he didn't think that when he bought it.
